Two children have perished in a fire in Bowling Green.
The Bowling Green Fire Department said in a social media post that the fire occurred at 2:15 Thursday morning at Willow Creek Apartments in the 1000 block of Shive Lane. That’s off Scottsville Road across from Greenwood Mall.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters “encountered heavy fire …” During a search of the structure, two children were found deceased.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No other information was released.
