A woman has been killed in a UTV crash.
Kentucky State Police responded to the accident on Forkland Road in the Gravel Switch (Boyle Co.) at approximately 9:00 Friday night.
The state police investigation revealed that 41-year-old Jason Whitaker, of Lebanon, was driving a Can-Am UTV “when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, exited the roadway, and struck a tree.”
A passenger on the UTV, 63-year-old Connie Thompson, of Lebanon, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Boyle County Coroner’s Office.
Whitaker was airlifted to University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Toxicology results are pending, state police said.
The crash remains under investigation and is being conducted by KSP Det. Tyler Holt.
