A body found by a man and his son while hiking last year in Rowan County has been identified as a man missing since 2022.
The Rowan County Coroner’s Office said the remains discovered on April 19, 2025, on Trent Ridge Road, approximately 10 miles east of Morehead, are those of Cameron Lee Boling, 37, of Rowan County.
The remains were positively identified through DNA analysis conducted by the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
Boling was last seen alive on July 30, 2022, while walking to a friend’s house, according to The Unsolved in Kentucky.
“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Boling’s death remains ongoing,” the coroner’s office said in a social media post.
Kentucky State Police and the Rowan Co. Coroner’s Office are leading the investigation.
