A Breckinridge County boy competed at the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals over the weekend.
The event, for young, elite golfers from around the country, was held on Sunday at the home of the Masters Tournament, Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Max DeHaven, a Breckinridge County Middle School student from Hardinsburg, competed at the event after winning a regional competition held in Fall 2025 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville.
Max competed in the Boys 12-13 group.
Last summer, Max dominated the Kentucky Junior PGA State Golf Championship Boys Division (11- to 13-years old) by winning the competition by 16 strokes, as he shot a 2-under 142 at the two-day, 36-hole championship at Quail Chase Golf Course in Louisville.
His incredibly strong play earned him a sponsorship from Titleist, a high-end golf equipment manufacturer, in 2025.
