A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle.
Kentucky State Police said the accident occurred Saturday evening at approximately 9:00 in the 1200 block of North Dixie Highway (Hwy 31-W).
State police said the accident happened when a 2024 Nissan Murano, being driven south on North Dixie Highway by 49-year-old Phillip West, of Horse Cave, struck a southbound bicycle, being ridden by 65-year-old King Martin, of Horse Cave.
Martin was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Det. Bo Hubbard.
