The Grayson County Extension Office will have open registration for Sewing Classes for youth ages 9-18, which will teach beginning sewing. The classes are free and geared for youth that want to learn to sew and have never used a sewing machine, but those with experience and wishing to learn more, are welcome to join. Sewing machines will be provided. Sign-ups will be held at the Extension Office on Friday, September 7th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Extension Office. Parents should bring kids to the sign-up. For those that cannot attend the sign-up, enrollment by phone will be accepted through the deadline of Wednesday, September 12th. The class will meet every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. beginning September 14th. Instructor is Kentucky Certified Master Clothing Volunteer, Barbara Stiles. You should park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door. This is the location for sign-ups and the weekly sewing classes.
