Early Saturday morning, Kentucky State Police and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office conducted traffic safety checkpoint near Beaver Dam.
During the roadblock, police came into contact with 37-yaer-old Ryan M. Simpson, of Beaver Dam. Through an investigation, authorities discovered Simpson was intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Simpson was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
