Murrel Lannie Richardson, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 29, 2019) at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
He was born on April 9, 1940 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Lannie B. and Vonnie Ramsey Richardson.
He was a former Grayson County PVA, a Veteran of the American Airforce, a member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge #236, Vice President of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board, a member of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, and a member of the American Legion Post #113. He enjoyed Louisville sports, politics, being a farm advisor and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son, David Richardson (Julie) of Leitchfield, KY; one daughter, Melody Nash (Paul) of Bowling Green, KY; four grandchildren, Mika Tyler (Matt), Chase Richardson, Taylor Nash, and Spencer Nash (Christina); six great – grandchildren, Eva Tyler, Jack Willis Tyler, Jackson, Audri, Emaree, and Hudson; two step – grandchildren, Latisha Heller, and Kristin Embry; two sisters, Mary Nell Graham of Elizabethtown, KY, and Edna Horrell of Leitchfield, KY.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Richardson.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, (November 3, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. A private funeral service will be held after visitation.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
