A Meade County teenager has been charged with murder.
Friday morning at approximately 9:30, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a deceased female at a residence on Woodland Road in Meade County. Upon arriving, troopers found 65-year-old Cris Blehar, of Vine Grove deceased inside the home. She was pronounced dead by the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
State police said that through investigation it was determined that Blehar had been murdered by 18-year-old Tyler Petty, of Vine Grove.
He was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence and lodged in the Meade County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by KSP Detective Bryan Washer.
