A Grayson County woman has been injured and charged after having a wreck on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Tuesday night at approximately 5:55, and after receiving a report of a reckless driver traveling at a high rate of speed on the parkway, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Clay Boone and Deputies Sean Fentress, Erik Franklin, and Justin Cockerel, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident at the 108-mile marker of the westbound parkway.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found that a Ford Fiesta, being driven by 20-year-old Kristina Duff, had left the road and traveled in a narrow ditch line for about 200 feet before coming to a stop. Marks left at the scene show Duff attempted to re-enter the roadway at least once without success.

After talking with multiple witnesses, police identified Duff as the reckless driver reported to Grayson County Central Dispatch.

Duff suffered neck and head injuries and was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center by EMS.

She was cited for DUI (excluding alcohol), possession of marijuana, reckless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
