A suspect who has made multiple appearances on the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list has been arrested.

Christian A. Goostree, 25, was arrested Friday morning at approximately 8:30 by Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins and Leitchfield Police Officer DJ Newton after the suspect was involved in a minor traffic accident in the 1300 block of Elizabethtown Road.

According to Chaffins, Goostree walked away from the accident but the sheriff spotted the suspect walking next to a residence across from American Legion Post 81. Goostree then fled on foot from Chaffins, as the sheriff and Newton gave chase.

As Chaffins “caught up with him,” Goostree surrendered and was detained by Newton.

Goostree was wanted by the sheriff’s office for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The incident Friday morning, though, resulted in Goostree being charged with another possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) count along with second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended/revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He was also served with multiple failure to appear warrants.

Goostree was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
