Barbara Ann (Stone) Coats, 72, of Caneyville, passed away December 14, 2017 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
She was born on December 6, 1945 in Louisville, KY the daughter of the late Hayward and Velva Barton Stone. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Millwood, KY. Barbara worked for several years in the retail industry, places such as Smart, Maloney’s and IGA, in her early years she also worked at Kane Industries. She loved the outdoors and loved to work in her garden.
She is survived by one son, Tim Mattingly of Leitchfield, two daughters, Lisa Pearl of Leitchfield and Sherry Johnston and her husband Steve of Leitchfield, five grandchildren, Alicia Wetzel, Cody Mattingly, Joshua Pearl, Amy Fulkerson and Brett Johnston, four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Roslynn, Rilynn and Sterling. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two brother, John and Arnold, two sisters, Alice and Margaret.
Funeral services will be (Sunday) December 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro George Langdon will be officiating. Burial will be in the First Apostolic Church Cemetery.
