Grayson County Clerk Sherry Weedman said John Kuntz, owner of Nolin Lake Lodge, has turned in paperwork to the Grayson County Clerk’s Office stating his intention to circulate a petition for by-the-drink alcohol sales in Rock Creek.
If Kuntz circulates the petition, and gains the 107 signatures needed to place the referendum on the ballot, by-the-drink sales in Rock Creek for qualifying establishments will be voted on by Rock Creek voters in the November General Election.
After a petition with a qualifying number of signatures (73) was submitted to the Grayson County Clerk’s Office in June by businessman Charlie Corbett, Falls of Rough voters will cast ballots in the General Election to determine whether by-the-drink sales is allowed at wineries, golf courses and historic sites in the Falls of Rough voting precinct.
