Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:45, the Leitchfield Police Department arrested one of Grayson County’s Most Wanted.

While on regular patrol, Officer Eugene Cain said he spotted two men walking in the 300 block of Mill Street. Cain recognized one of the subjects as 52-year-old Louis Coogle, of Leitchfield, who had a warrant for his arrest. As Cain made contact with the two subjects, the other man, 46-year-old Christopher Neubert, also of Leitchfield, fled on foot, running north of Mill Street through several back yards toward North Clinton Street.

As Cain gave chase, Officers Missy Skaggs and Chase Melton joined the effort to locate Neubert, and after speaking with a witness, police located Neubert, one of Grayson County’s Most Wanted, at a trailer in Lowe’s Mobile Home Park, off Salt River Road.

Officers cleared the mobile home and detained both Coogle and Neubert, as well as 34-year-old Bobby Hale, of Leitchfield, who was inside the residence.

Neubert was arrested on an outstanding warrant for trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and absconding from shock probation. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Coogle was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines, while Hale was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

All three were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Grayson County Special Deputy Mark Stanton assisted at the scene.
