On Wednesday, the Shepherdsville Police Department arrested a suspended Bullitt Central High School teacher after she threatened the school.

According to school officials, Wednesday morning the suspended teacher, 35-year-old Dusty Witherspoon, of Shepherdsville, entered the school and spoke with a school administrator. The administrator advised Witherspoon that she was not allowed to be on school property and to leave. The employee left, only to re-enter the school at a different entrance.

Witherspoon eventually left the property on her own.

According to Witherspoon’s arrest warrant, she then sent a text message to a Bullitt Central teacher, stating, “I’m about to f— some sh— up … if they want to get ugly it’s going to get reeeealllly ugly. I’m at my limit I’ve put up with enough sh–. I’m done.”

The school was placed on soft lockdown as a precaution and an officer was stationed at the school. Detectives from the Shepherdsville Police Department began surveillance on Witherspoon as other investigators gathered the facts of the case, according to officials.

Witherspoon was arrested at about 1:00 Wednesday afternoon and charged with terroristic threatening and criminal trespass and lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
