An Elizabethtown man has been indicted on nearly 30 child porn charges.
Kentucky State Police arrested 54-year-old Matthew H. Lewis in September and charged him with 21 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and six counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.
He was recently indicted on those charges by a Hardin County Grand Jury, according to The News-Enterprise. The indictment says that the alleged crimes occurred between March 11 and September 12 of this year.
He was arrested at his home after a Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch investigation that began when authorities discovered Lewis sharing images of child exploitation online, state police said. He admitted to authorities to “viewing, possessing and distributing” child pornography.
He remains lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
