Three people have been injured in a two-vehicle accident on Shrewsbury Road.

Tuesday afternoon at 3:25, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder and Deputy Jason Luedke, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the 4500 block of Shrewsbury Road, at the intersection of Shrewsbury and Armes Lively Road, after a Toyota Corolla, traveling south on Shrewsbury, struck a Ford Taurus, being driven by 18-year-old Abigail Beebe, of Leitchfield, as it turned left from Armes Lively Road.

The Corolla, being driven by 29-year-old Emily Livers, of Caneyville, left 88 feet of skid marks before striking the Taurus. The Ford, which had pulled into the path of the Toyota, was hit squarely on the driver’s side door.

Leitchfield firefighters had to extract Beebe from the car by removing the driver’s side door using the jaws of life.

The two drivers and a passenger in the Ford, 50-year-old Serena Lindsey, of Leitchfield, were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
