David Clay Pawley, 52, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021, with his loving family by his side.

Due to the Covid pandemic, services have been canceled at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

David was born in 1969, Louisville KY to Larry Floyd Pawley and Geneva (Clark) Pawley. David grew up on a small farm in Leitchfield and graduated from Grayson County High School. Following his high school graduation David trained and worked at Foster’s Heating and Air.  He joined the Louisville Fire Department in 1996 and was stationed at 6th & Hill, Truck 3.  He retired as Sergeant with 25 years of service. Later, David was employed at Kentucky Air National Guard Fire Department and served with Leitchfield’s Fire Department until his passing.

David and Holli (Shown) married at St. Paul Catholic Church, in 1999. They share two beloved children, Meredith Grace and Cameron Ryan.

The highest priority in David’s life was helping his family, friends and serving his community. David’s passion was competitive paintball in which he excelled to the ranks of National Paintball League.  Later, he shared this same passion with Cameron. They competed, as teammates, in several professional paintball leagues. David was equally passionate supporting Meredith’s participation in school and travel volleyball teams throughout her middle and high school years.

David is survived by his parents Larry and Geneva, wife Holli (Shown), daughter Meredith, son Cameron, brothers Steven (Lisa) Pawley; Jeremy (Melissa) Pawley; sister Jennifer (Glen) Anderson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
