The Leitchfield Police Department is investigating after a deceased male was found in a vehicle parked behind an old stock yard building off the 800 block of South Main Street.

Thursday morning at approximately 5:55, an anonymous caller to Grayson County Central Dispatch told authorities that a vehicle had been parked at the location for four days.

Upon LPD Officer Tim Moutardier arriving at the scene about 150 yards behind the Marathon/Taco Bell building, he located a deceased male inside a vehicle, along with a live cat in a cage.

The cause of death is unclear at this point.

Grayson County Coroner Joe Brad Hudson and Deputy Coroner Larry Holeman, along with multiple Leitchfield police officers are on the scene.

Animal Control was contacted to take the cat to the Leitchfield Animal Shelter.
