June B. Swift, age 67, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 9, 2021) at her home.
She was born on June 18, 1954, in Leitchfield, daughter of the late Daymon and Augusta Frames Whitehead.
She was a home-maker and enjoyed knitting, and working in her flowers and her garden. She was an avid U.K fan. She was married to Roscoe Swift for 44 years before his death in 2015. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Gail, three special children, Candis Carpenter (Shane), Katye Mullins (Mikey) and Kristi Lacefield (Mike); special grandsons, Rayland and Ryeline; special granddaughters, Alyssa Lynn, Heaven Leigh and Ariana Skye; soon to arrive her great-grandson, Kreedence Brandon Rhea Higgs; special grandson, Floyd Wayne and special granddaughter, Aleatha Brooke Higgs (Tyler); special sister-in-law, Cathy Shaw; sister, Patricia Bratcher of Caneyville; three brothers, Wendell Woosley (Georgia) of Louisville, Charles Whitehead (Linda) of Elizabethtown, Roger Whitehead (Judy) of Elizabethtown; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Whitehead of Elizabethtown and Karen Woosley of Leitchfield.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Swift, three brothers, Ralph and Phillip Woosley and Bobby Whitehead.
She had a lifetime friend, Barbara Lacefield.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (October13, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Davy Norris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
