A Hardin County man has been charged with murder after a woman was found shot to death inside a Rineyville home.
Richard A. Cook, 42, of Rineyille, is accused of shooting and killing the victim at a residence on Custer Street sometime before 4:15 Thursday morning, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.
Cook has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence.
Information regarding the victim and the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.
“At this point, it’s an ongoing investigation and we’re trying to sort out what happened,” Hardin County Sheriff John Ward told the newspaper.
Cook is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
