Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its July Activity Report.
According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:
- Wrote 2,293 citations and arrested 30 impaired drivers.
- Opened 47 criminal cases, made 384 arrests and served 101 criminal court documents.
- Cited 601 speeders and issued citations to 195 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with eight citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
- Investigated 42 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 102 stranded motorists.
- Gave 225 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
- Conducted 35 school and business security checks and answered 775 citizen complaints.
- Were involved in 399 special details and conducted 14 community programs.
Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during August and throughout the remainder of 2022.
Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
