A Leitchfield woman and a Greensburg man with felony convictions have been arrested in Grayson County on multiple drug charges.

Kentucky State Police arrested 37-year-old Crystal G. Vigil and 47-year-old Jonathan B. Clark during a traffic stop on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

According to the arrest citation, on Monday morning a few minutes after midnight, Trooper Blaine Miller observed a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon commit a traffic violation near the 118-mile marker of the westbound parkway.

Miller conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the two suspects and “observed beer cans in the floor board,” the citation states.

The trooper then asked Clark, the driver, to exit the vehicle to perform a field sobriety test when Miller felt a needle in Clark’s jacket pocket.

KSP Sgt. Blake Owens, who assisted Miller at the stop, then requested Vigil exit the vehicle where he observed a Gabapentin pill in plain view on Vigil’s person.

During a search of the vehicle, troopers located “two clear plastic baggies” containing methamphetamine in addition to a methamphetamine pipe in the front floor board, directly in front of where Vigil was sitting.

Both suspects were arrested, with Vigil charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to notify the Kentucky Department of Transportation of a change of address.

Clark was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia along with moving and non-moving traffic violations.

Clark and Vigil were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. Vigil is no longer listed as an inmate.

Clark has been arrested numerous times since 2012 in Green County on gun, drug and theft charges, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections. He was convicted in Green County for third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking. He was released from prison in December 2017 and is on parole until December 6, 2022.
