A Central City nursing home caretaker has pled guilty to abusing a “vulnerable adult.”

The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office said that on Monday in Muhlenberg Circuit Court 23-year-old Madison Hill pled guilty to wanton abuse of an adult, a class D felony. Hill was a caretaker at Sparks Nursing Center in Central City.

The abuse of the “vulnerable adult,” the attorney general’s office said, took place on June 19, 2021.

“She will be placed on a three-year period of pretrial diversion and faces a one-year sentence if she does not successfully complete the period of diversion,” according to the attorney general’s office.

The case was investigated by Det. Jared Spurrier of the Attorney General’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control.
