
Four people have been charged in Owensboro after police seized heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine during the execution of a search warrant.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said a search warrant was served Friday morning at a residence in the 3000 block of Legion Park Drive, about two blocks from Legion Park where deputies seized 150 fentanyl pills, syringes containing fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, a firearm, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Police arrested 37-year-old Heather K. Braden, 37-year-old Alex J. McDaniel, 61-year-old Rex McDaniel, and 61-year-old Lorraine B. McDaniel, all of Owensboro.
Braden was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin, fentanyl), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rex McDaniel was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Alex McDaniel was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with a fugitive warrant and bench warrant.
Lorraine McDaniel was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Three of the suspects were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. Lorraine McDaniel was not taken into custody due to health concerns.
