Grayson County High School tennis athletes Maddox Powell, Ava Walker, and Emma Walker all performed strongly in a Bowling Green tournament over the weekend.

The “Kids on the Block Points for Puppets Tournament” was hosted at Buchanon Park near South Warren High School.

Maddox Powell won the 14U division while not losing a single set. Powell defeated Bryce Moreman (6-1, 6-0) to bring home the title.

Ava Walker finished as the runner-up in the 14U division on the girls’ side.

Emma Walker blew through the competition before falling in the 16U championship match to Paisley Harris from Woodburn.

These competitions are part of the Central Kentucky Tennis Series. It is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of promoting amateur tennis play in the Central Kentucky area.
