Grayson Co. man shot multiple times in Leitchfield during apparent domestic disturbance

Kentucky State Police is investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Leitchfield.

The Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Fire Department, and EMS responded to the shooting Saturday morning approximately 12:50 in the 100 block of Quail Run Circle.

The shooting, which appears to have occurred during a domestic disturbance between a man and his son-in-law, resulted in the son-in-law, of Grayson County, being shot multiple times by a Leitchfield man. The victim was airlifted to a Louisville hospital from Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.

Kentucky State Police was notified of the shooting and is leading the investigation.

Two people, a male and female, were transported a few hours after the shooting to the Leitchfield Police Department to be interviewed. It appears, at this point, that no one has been arrested.

Arriving at the scene were Leitchfield PD Officers Wally Ritter and Hunter Miller and Det. Sgt. Ian Renfrow, and Deputies Sean Fentress and Andy Cast.

The identities of those involved in the incident have not been released.
