A Marion County man is accused of distributing pornography featuring young children.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 36-year-old Joseph A. Mattingly, of Lebanon, and charged him with 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance (victim younger than 12).

Mattingly was arrested on Tuesday as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Mattingly sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, police said.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant in Lebanon on Tuesday where equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

Mattingly, who faces up to 10 years in prison, was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
