A man has been arrested after allegedly spraying a liquid mixture inside the Breckinridge County Justice Center, injuring multiple officers.

Kentucky State Police and Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after the male suspect, wearing a military tactical vest and gas mask, entered the courthouse at approximately 10:30 Tuesday morning and sprayed a mixture of rubbing alcohol, black pepper and Tabasco sauce at four deputies.

The deputies were transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, as they were alert and in good condition, police said.

The suspect was captured by police, and during the course of the suspect’s arrest a Breckinridge County deputy suffered a hand injury.

The suspect was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the suspect and the charges he faces have not yet been released. As of 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, no one lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center fits the presumptive charging profile of the suspect.

The Breckinridge County Justice Center, which was evacuated following the incident, is located at 111 South 2nd Street in Hardinsburg.
