The task force on Saturday night, February 17, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Kefauver Road following a drug trafficking investigation.
During a search of the home, police located methamphetamine, firearms and a large amount of cash, according to the arrest citations.
One citation further states that one of the suspects, 59-year-old Darrell Carnes, of Millwood, had “ordered approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine,” and was in possession of two firearms and $10,000 in cash.
Carnes, a felon who previously absconded from parole, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), engaging in organized crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Additional charges are pending.
Carnes, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, is on parole until May 2024 after he was convicted in January 2022 in Daviess County for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Also arrested at the residence was 59-year-old Robert Wells, of Millwood, who was in possession of 20 grams of methamphetamine and more than 20 firearms, one of which was defaced, according to the citation.
He was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), engaging in organized crime, possession of a defaced firearm, and possession of marijuana. Additional charges are pending.
In a related arrest the same night Carnes and Wells were arrested, task force members executed a traffic stop on a vehicle at the Western Kentucky Parkway exit ramp at Hwy 79 in Caneyville and arrested 23-year-old Taylor Isbell, of Marietta, Georgia, after police found two pounds of methamphetamine and a weapon in the vehicle. Presumably, the methamphetamine was being delivered to Carnes and Wells.
Isbell was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and engaging in organized crime.
All three suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
