J.D. Pierce, 80, of Brownsville passed away Feb 23, 2024 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a self-employed semi truck driver, a maintenance worker/snow removal specialist for Edmonson County Road Dept. and a member of Fairview United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Kelly Pierce and Dolly Glass Pierce.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ecel Pierce, Grover Pierce, Bill Pierce, Buck Pierce and James Pierce; and two sisters, Joyce Wingfield and Janice Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place 2-7 PM Monday and after 10:00 AM Tuesday.
Surviving are his wife, Sheryl Skaggs Pierce; a daughter, Michelle Hagan of Brownsville; a son, Jason Pierce of Brownsville; a sister, Evon Priddy four grandchildren, Stephanie Roberson (Shane), Amber Hagan, Corey Pierce (Keeley) and Carlie Pierce; a great grandchild, Beckett Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.
