An elderly man has died in a Muhlenberg County house fire.
On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:50, Kentucky State Police, at the request of the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the fatal structure fire in Cleaton, about one mile southwest of Central City.
State police said that 72-year-old David E. Poole, of Cleaton, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy was performed on Thursday.
No other details were released. The case remains under investigation by KSP Det. Jacob Fortney.
