One teenager has died and a juvenile hospitalized after suffering fentanyl overdoses, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday at approximately 1:00, Warren County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Apple Valley Road, off Hwy 185 about five miles north of Bowling Green.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found an 18-year-old male, from Bowling Green, deceased in the living room and a female juvenile in the living room unresponsive. Narcan was delivered to the female by the first deputy on the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

She was then transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green before being taken to a Louisville area hospital.

“We continue to tell people over and over again the dangers of any of these drugs,” Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower told WBKO.com. “These are not made in a sterile environment. So many people think it’s just one pill, but one pill can kill and that’s all it takes. These are always tragic situations, and we just want community awareness again and again to let people know that there is no safe substance that people can just take that that’s from the street in any which way.”
