A Morgantown man accused of traveling to Florida and bringing back a juvenile female has been indicted for kidnapping, rape and sexual abuse.
Child Protective Services (CPS) workers met with Morgantown police at Gomez’s residence where they found the missing juvenile and Gomez.
Gomez admitted going to the girl’s Florida home, according to Taylor, and bringing her back to Morgantown without the consent of her guardian.
CPS took custody of the juvenile while the teenager’s legal guardian traveled to Kentucky from Florida.
Gomez was initially charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree sexual abuse and lodged in the Butler County Jail.
The suspect was recently indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury for kidnapping (minor), first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of third-degree rape, three counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor (victim under the age of 16, illegal sex acts), and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.
Gomez’s mugshot was not available.
