A Clarkson man previously convicted on drug trafficking and possession charges has been jailed on an indictment warrant accusing him of burglary and theft.

Bobby L. Zachery, 36, was recently arrested by Grayson County Deputy Andy Cast on warrants charging him with third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking (more than $1,000, less than $10,000). He surrendered at the sheriff’s office, according to the arrest citation. The citation also states that May 11, 2024, was the date of the violation.

Zachery was convicted of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in Grayson County in November 2022, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections. He was also convicted in Grayson County in April 2017 for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and again in September 2017 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), also in Grayson County.

The November 2022 conviction followed Zachery’s arrest by Leitchfield Police Officer Eugene Cain during a traffic stop in April 2022 where he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

He is on probation until December 2025.
