One person has died in a boating accident on Lake Cumberland
The accident happened on Sunday at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the White Oak Creek area of the lake, according to LakerCountry.com, and resulted in the death of 59-year-old John Bezold, of Campbell County.
Bezold’s boat, with Bezold inside, was discovered adrift by a fisherman. The boat’s motor appeared to have been torn off. Bezold, according to the Wayne County Coroner’s Office, suffered severe head trauma.
The Kentucky Fish & Wildlife investigation is ongoing.
