The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for children to attend the popular Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch this summer.
“We can take 4 boys from June 23-June 26 and 4 girls from July 14-July 17,” Sheriff Norman Chaffins said.
The camp is free and for children eight- to 11-years-old.
The camp is in Gilbertsville and the sheriff’s office will provide transportation to and from the camp. Activities include swimming, water safety, arts and crafts, nature, camp skills, sports, physical fitness, and much more.
You may pick up applications at the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 117 South Main Street in Leitchfield.
All paperwork must be completed prior to being accepted to go to the camp. Applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to those that did not attend last year, Chaffins said.
Additionally, all camper luggage will be searched prior to leaving for Gilbertsville.
You may call Mandy at the GCSO during normal business hours – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday — at 270-259-3024 should you have any questions or concerns.
