The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has told K105 that the planned roundabout at the intersection of Elizabethtown Road (US 62) and the William Thomason Byway will be installed today (Thursday).
The KYTC only in the last several hours learned that a company already working on the repaving project on North and South Main Streets in Leitchfield offered to complete the project today if KYTC officials wished the company to do so.
The traffic signal is at the intersection will be disabled when the roundabout installation is completed today.
Work will remain after the roundabout is installed at the intersection, the KYTC told K105, as the median and curbing will be installed at a later date.
Use caution if traveling in the area.
