Peyton Hughes, 21, of Springfield, went missing on Wednesday on Toledo Bend Lake in Hemp Hill, Texas. One of his teammates alerted authorities after Hughes failed to check in at a designated location while he was pre-fishing solo in preparation for the tournament.
Hughes’ kayak has been found, according to the following statement by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
