A Caneyville man wanted by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has surrendered to authorities.

On Monday afternoon, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post that deputies were looking for 30-year-old William Austin Finn.

He was wanted on warrants charging him with first-degree strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, and intimidating a participant in the legal process.

In an update, also on social media, the GCSO said, “Mr. Finn turned himself in to our deputies …”

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he’s charged with the counts listed above.

Finn is on probation until December 2027 after being convicted in Meade County in December 2025 for violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree criminal mischief, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

The incident that resulted in Finn’s convictions occurred in December 2023.
