A man has been killed after crossing the center line and colliding with a semi-truck.
The crash happened on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:00 on Hwy 461 in Rockcastle County, according to Kentucky State Police.
The investigation determined that a northbound 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by 70-year-old Hollis Smith, of Somerset, crossed the center line and into the path of a southbound 2024 Freightliner semi, driven by 32-year-pold Jeffson Joseph, of Apopka, Florida.
Smith was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office. No injury information regarding Joseph was released.
The Kentucky State Police investigation continues.
