Phillip Ross Mollyhorn, age 71, passed away Tuesday, (April 28, 2026) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield. He was born on January 2, 1955, in Louisville, the son of the late Ross Mollyhorn and Alma Jean Kelly Mollyhorn.
Phillip enjoyed rabbit hunting, riding his four-wheeler around, and years ago he enjoyed wagon riding, planting his garden, and bush hogging. He also liked telling stories about years ago. He married Juile Rose Embry on November 11, 1976. He attended Small’s Grove Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juile Rose Embry Mollyhorn; 2 daughters, Amy Lynn Childress (Cameron), Kelly Beth Bratcher (Nathaniel); 3 grandchildren, Garrett, Mason, and Gracie Bratcher; and 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson and Kyler.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, (May 4, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Randall Deweese and Steve Mahurin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
