A woman has been killed in a crossover crash in Green County.
The accident happened Tuesday morning at approximately 11:30 on Edmonton Road (U.S. 68), according to Kentucky State Police.
The state police investigation revealed that 76-year-old Janice McKinney, of Greensburg, was traveling east on Edmonton Road in a 2009 Kia Rio when the vehicle crossed the center line and into the path of a westbound 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, being driven by 30-year-old Cody Richmond, of Greensburg.
McKinney was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Green County Coroner’s Office. Richmond was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
Sr. Trooper Brandon Roark is leading the investigation.
