Keilan Hayes and Jayden Nugent will both represent Grayson County High School at Saturday’s state track meet in Lexington.
The duo came in third and fourth place in the region pole vault competition last week.
Following statewide results, both received at-large qualifying spots in the event.
Hayes, only an eighth grader, and Nugent, only a freshman, provide a strong, young core for the Grayson County track team to continue to grow around.
Saturday’s meet will be held at the University of Kentucky at around 9:00 am local time.
Hayes will also represent Grayson County at the middle school meet on May 30 at Eastern High School in Louisville.
