Caneyville native Landon Young has signed with the New York Jets.
The team announced the move Sunday afternoon following a tryout.
Young was a sixth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2021 out of the University of Kentucky. He appeared in 56 games with the Saints, making 12 starts during his time in New Orleans.
While in Lexington, the former Kentucky Wildcat was named All-SEC twice and was a key part of an offensive line that was twice named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which is presented annually to the top offensive line unit in college football.
Young attended Lafayette High School in Lexington but has deep family roots throughout Grayson County and the Caneyville area.
The Jets will release their 2026 schedule on Thursday evening.
