Cougar Tennis Season Ends at State Tournament

The 2026 Cougar tennis season came to an end Wednesday during the opening rounds of the KHSAA State Tennis Tournament in Bowling Green.

In boys’ doubles action, Carter Bernard and Miles Mudd battled Paducah Tilghman for nearly two hours before falling 5-7, 6-7.

On the girls’ side, Ava Walker earned a first-round victory over 5th Region runner-up Addyson McFall of Barren County. After dropping the opening set, Walker rallied for a 5-7, 6-0, 10-4 win to advance to the round of 32 for the second time in her career.

Walker’s tournament run ended in the second round against second-seeded Sol-Francesca Poole of South Warren, falling 0-6, 0-6.
