
Two Elizabethtown residents and one person from Campbellsville have been arrested in Elizabethtown and charged in the fatal shooting of a Bardstown man early Tuesday morning.
Wednesday night, the Bardstown and Elizabethtown Police Departments arrived in the 300 block of Jefferson Street in Elizabethtown and arrested 19-year-old Andrew D. Toogood and 22-year-old Brittney N. Childers, both of Elizabethtown, and 19-year-old Dominick C. Woods, of Campbellsville.
Toogood has been charged with murder while Childers and Woods were charged with complicity to commit murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old George D. Riney in the parking lot of BJ’s Steakhouse in the 200 block of Camptown Road in Bardstown.
Bardstown police responded to the shooting at about 6:30 Tuesday morning and found Riney in a vehicle in the parking lot of the restaurant, according to the Bardstown PD. He was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
All three suspects are being held in the Nelson County Detention Center.
