The person shot during Saturday’s road rage incident on Peonia Road is speaking out and another person has released a video of the incident.
Sharp said the incident involved “several hundred motorcycles participating in a charity poker run and a pickup truck.”
One person suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound, while another person was hit by the pickup truck. The person struck by the truck was transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing and charges could be forthcoming, Sharp said.
Derek McClure, whose social media profile states that he lives in Munfordville, said he was shot in the shin as he pursued the pickup truck involved in the incident. He notes in his statement below that the person struck by the truck was a female.

Apologies to those that are calling and asking for details, and sending well wishes. Believe it or not, I’m out on the bike. Pulled over at Cub Run Cave to wait out the rain! So what happened… we were on the Run For The Light annual ride. We were on 88 at Peonia taking a left toward Brownsville, and a truck didn’t want to wait. Casey, Lawrence, and a few others were having some words with the guys in the truck who weren’t too happy with waiting. As I passed by to hang a left, about 20 yards after, I heard gunshots and turned to see the truck drive up in the yard, back out onto 88 and slam into some riders, seriously injuring one of my friends in the process. I flipped around and hauled ass after them. Once I got up behind the truck, he pointed his pistol out the window at me, and popped off a round, striking me in the left shin. So, I was left with no choice but to reply, as there was no traffic or houses near. Several rounds later I was empty! But, I could still ride, so myself and Andrew Burkholder followed him down 88, took a left at Wax towards Millerstown, and eventually left on Grayson Springs, where I told a guy in an S10 at the stop sign to call 911 because of the shooting and running down bikes. We followed about 5 or 6 more miles to find Grayson County’s finest Sheriffs blocking the road. The truck stopped, both guys gave up without a fight, and I got carted off to the hospital for some medical attention. I’m okay, but I won’t be dancing for a weeks and my professional trampoline jumping days are now behind me!
In all seriously, pray for the female rider who was injured. I won’t give out details because it’s not my place. But, she’s in rough shape from the truck mirror striking her in the head and caused some spinal issues. So, cross your finger, say a prayer, light a candle because she needs us.
