Grayson Co. High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter has been bestowed the 2024–25 Ultimate Chapter Award.

The designation is the highest honor an FCCLA chapter can achieve, and the GCHS FCCLA is one of only 12 chapters so honored nationwide.

“This prestigious recognition honors chapters that go above and beyond in advancing FCCLA’s mission through innovative projects, outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to making a difference,” National FCCLA said in a press release. “This year’s winners truly exemplify the spirit of FCCLA by proving that when we work together, we can create lasting change in our schools, families, and communities.”

“This award,” National FCCLA continued, “is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of chapters that truly embody the spirit of FCCLA, setting a benchmark for others to follow and contributing to the overall strength and vitality of the organization.”

Chapters recognized with the 2024-25 Ultimate Chapter Award have:

  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership in their schools and communities
  • Created impactful service projects that align with FCCLA’s mission
  • Showcased creativity, teamwork, and dedication to making a difference

“By earning this recognition, these chapters set the bar for FCCLA Members nationwide,” the organization said.

The Grayson County High School FCCLA chapter is led by Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and sponsor Cody Mooneyhan.
