Bodycam footage of the initial investigation, police pursuit, capture, and interrogation of a Falls of Rough man who killed one person with a samurai sword and severely injured two others has been released by Midwest Safety.

The 34-minute video (found below) was published three days ago and has over 2.3 million views.

The video, an amalgamation of bodycam footage primarily from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police, gives an inside look into the initial investigation at the scene on Indian Ridge Road after 50-year-old George T. Greer killed his girlfriend’s mother, Teresa Boles, 59, and seriously injured Boles’ husband, Joseph Boles, 60, and Greer’s girlfriend, Laura Tabor, 32.

The sword attack occurred on the morning of February 5, 2024.

The arrest citation, written by Kentucky State Police Det. Bryan Washer (now KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer), who led the murder investigation, states that the Greer “… admitted being under the influence of drugs and admitted to killing one female and assaulting another female and a male with a samurai sword” on Indian Ridge Road.

That is abundantly clear during the interrogation portion of the video.

K105 previously reported, according to a source familiar with the investigation, the assaults began when Greer and Tabor became involved in a dispute. Tabor’s parents intervened, resulting in Greer attacking the victims with a sword.

The citation, in addition to revealing Greer’s confession, offers insight into the suspect’s movements between the time of the murders, at approximately 7:15 a.m., and the suspect’s arrest at 1:28 p.m. that afternoon.

“After the assaults took place, subject (Greer) then took a vehicle (2008 Chrysler Town & Country minivan) from the residence and attempted to flee,” the citation states. “Subject broke into a residence at one point and stole some items of clothing. Subject then drove to a residence and on to farm property (on Hollow Church Road) where he crashed one vehicle. He then ran from officers and troopers and stole a vehicle (Chevrolet Impala) at another residence on Amy Way in Short Creek.”

Police gave chase at that point, as Greer, the citation says, “eventually got the stolen vehicle stuck in the mud on a farm” on Edwards Cemetery Road. This, as K105 reported, was a result of Grayson County Jailer Jason Woosley spotting Greer on Owensboro Road (Hwy 54) and pursuing the Impala.

After getting the Impala stuck in mud, Greer “exited the vehicle and fled on foot from troopers and officers,” according to the citation, but the suspect was eventually apprehended and placed under arrest.

Greer was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, first-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking (auto), and two counts of fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle, on foot).

Greer’s case continues to be adjudicated.
